We’re NYC’s Only All-Water Camp

We said it before, but this point is worth emphasizing: Camp Maritime is New York City’s sole water-only camp. Children who love swimming and experiencing aquatic sports and activities will be in all their glory, and those who’re new to the field will be taught and informed in a constructive, inviting, no-judgment environment.

And since we’re NYC’s only and best all-water day camp, we’ve long been committed to providing campers with access to as many aquatic sports and activities as possible, including sailing, boating, windsurfing, swimming, kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and much more. Our knowledgeable and helpful instructors provide campers with the knowledge needed not just to partake in these sports and activities, but to enjoy doing so.

A Caring and Attentive Team

Speaking of our knowledgeable and attentive team, we wouldn’t be a premier all-water summer camp without a consistent and ultra-reliable group of employees and instructors. Each of these individuals is well-versed in multiple aquatic sports and disciplines, has a penchant for teaching and helping, and actively works to help campers have the best possible time.

Moreover, our camper-to-counselor ratio is approximately five-to-one; few competing camps offer anywhere near this ratio. Additionally, our activities are overseen by lifelong seamen and U.S. Coast Guard captains. Licensed instructors are also accompanied by medically qualified team leaders.

In short, our caring and attentive team embodies the best of both fun and safety.

Unparalleled Water Access

We’re proud to conduct our camp activities in some of New York’s most pristine and breathtaking waterfront areas. Our private dock and dedicated practice space is located at 3000 Emmons Avenue, and we’ve received permission to utilize 144 different launch sites in New York City. Lastly, we frequently visit top-quality, well-kept private beaches. On rainy days, our magnificent indoor swimming pool provides campers with an opportunity to hone and develop their swimming and paddling abilities.

At Camp Maritime, aquatic sports and activities are our passion, and it wouldn’t be fair to campers to conduct our lessons and sessions in unsuitable environments. Accordingly, we provide one-of-a-kind instructions and settings to our students.

Delicious, Nutritious Meals

Aquatic sports and activities require a substantial amount of energy and effort from participants, and with this in mind, our campers need solid, energy-providing meals to perform at their best and have as much fun as they can.

We’re happy to provide delicious, nutritious, 100% natural foods to our athletes; the corresponding vitamins and nutrients guarantee that they’ll be able to make the most out of each day. Breakfast and lunch are provided daily, and our menu is created and maintained by an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.

We’ve already discussed the knowledge and exercise benefits of our camp, but our world-class, super-healthy menu adds an entirely new dimension to our provided advantages; Camp Maritime is physically beneficial to campers.

Wide Accessibility

Experience isn’t a requirement for Camp Maritime campers; we only ask that campers possess a love for aquatic adventures and a willingness to participate in new and exciting things.

Besides that, we accept boys and girls between the ages of seven and 15. Campers can be dropped off at 3000 Emmons Avenue between 7:45 and 8:15 AM each morning, and if drop offs are an issue, your child can be picked up at home by our own bus for only $15 per day. (Our buses also drop campers off once the day’s concluded, but parents and guardians are welcome to pick their children up if they wish to do so, even if they’re driven in the morning.)

Our buses are comfortable, air-conditioned, and equipped with GPS technology and seat belts.

Campers are only responsible for bringing a water bottle, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a pair of non-marking deck shoes. We provide life jackets and helmets to campers at no additional charge.

Affordable Pricing

Our outstanding camping experience—the experience that has made Camp Maritime a favorite of so many previous campers—doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Other camps charge parents a staggering sum for their provided services, entertainment, and fun, but we maintain that value is the cornerstone of every worthwhile business agreement.

Accordingly, for the multitude of services, activities, and benefits we provide to campers, we charge a very, very affordable rate. Our nine-week, eight-hour-per-day camp might be packed to the brim with quality, but that doesn’t mean that its cost is unbelievable.

Fun Away from Home, but Not Too Far from Home

We believe that independence and one-on-one interaction between campers and instructors, in coordination with our tremendous activities and destinations, helps to cultivate a sense of responsibility and confidence in all involved individuals. In short, being away from home and partaking in new and exciting activities with new and exciting friends is great for campers.

However, we also know how hard it can be for children to spend an entire summer away from their home and their parents; this living arrangement can be similarly trying for parents. As such, although our campers spend long, riveting days away from home, they do return home nightly.

There’s something to be said for exploring a new world during the day and being able to tell family members about this new world during dinner. Camp Maritime offers fun away from home, but not too far away from home—and most other camps cannot say the same thing.
